Kurt Mueller - Head Trainer

"My name is Kurt Mueller and I am the owner of Blue Springs Fitness. I started working out at the age of 15, and actually happen to be the 40th member to join Blue Springs Fitness when it originally opened! I graduated from Blue Springs South in 1996 and earned my BS in Finance at Missouri State University in 2000. I have always wanted to be in the gym business so I could work in an industry I love and have a passion for. As a trainer I believe in the "old school" style of training, which involves basic weight training along with cardiovascular exercise. Although diet theories have advanced throughout the years, the tried and true training regimens remain pretty much the same.

I have been doing this a long time and my methods produce results, whether you are looking to just shed a few pounds, get in shape for an upcoming event, become healthier to stop any medications you are currently taking, or if you are a competitive physique athlete. As a competitive bodybuilder I specialize in training competitive physique athletes for figure, fitness, bikini, or bodybuilding contests. However the majority of my clients are average people looking to better themselves and get in the shape of their lives."

Nikki Mueller - Personal Trainer

"My name is Nikki Mueller and I am the owner of Studio 7 Hair Design, located next to Blue Springs Fitness.  Back in the Fall of 2000 when I met my husband Kurt, I had never worked out in my life!  As a matter of fact, I could never picture myself working out back then.  After a couple of years with Kurt I attempted to workout at Blue Springs Fitness, but it never really appealed to me.  For quite a few years I would do the typical yo-yo diet, and go to the gym off and on.  In 2007 I became pregnant with twins (Falon and Rylee), and even though nobody can believe it when I tell them, on Feb. 20th 2008 when I gave birth to them, I was tipping the scales at 300 lbs.!!!  This had become a defning moment in my life.  It was time for a serious commitment to fitness. By the Summer of 2008 I had lost over 150 lbs.! When my mindset changed, my dedication level changed, and I found myself making a complete change in my entire lifestyle. Now fitness, health, nutrition, and training, are all just a normal part of my life...and I've never felt better!

I have now decided to become a personal trainer so I can motivate others, and help them reach their "seemingly" unreachable goals. For me, Kurt was there every step of the way, even when things felt impossible. I needed to get serious, and I needed a lot of extra encouragement, support, and expert training guidance. Those basic things are the same things many people need to succeed, and I want to help them! Currently I am certified through the ISSA, and as for 2009 am now part of my husbands Team of Personal Trainers!  If I can do it so can you, and I am here to help you!"


Jennifer Stevens:

Jennifer Stevens - Personal Trainer

Jennifer Stevens is now one of the personal trainers at Blue Springs Fitness. She has been teaching group fitness classes since the gym opened.  Her enthusiasm, training style, and years of experience have lead her to take that knowledge to the Blue Springs Fitness personal training team.

Her experience in the fitness industry includes personal fitness trainer certification through AFAA, group instructor certification, Healthways SilverSneakers certified for active older adults, Step aerobics certified, Pi/Yo certified, and cycle certified. She is also a Les Mills Body Pump instructor, has taught home-school PE programming, and currently teaches Kids In Motion at Blue Springs fitness.

Jennifer possesses a true love of fitness and maintains that lifestyle for her and her children.  She works full-time training and teaching clients from the age of 6 to 86, creating fun with fitness for all ages. The weight training and weight loss routines Jennifer has developed have helped clients whose levels of fitness range from novice to the moderate athlete.

No matter what your fitness level, Jennifer will help design a program that will enable you to reach optimal capacity and performance. And because she believes fitness should be a way of life, Jennifer makes your training enjoyable.  Her philosophy is training the body from the inside out, a healthy mind and body.

Jennifer is affiliated with AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), she continues to keep current on fitness trends and is certified in first aid, CPR and AED.
